The Lawyer’s Tale

Troubled Tyneside lawyer, Jack Lauder, is already struggling to overcome his past and salvage a future when a murder case he took on years ago returns to haunt him.

Could the bizarre, inexplicable events that follow be linked to the case? Is the murderer really seeking revenge from beyond the grave? Or can a more rational explanation be found in the form of Max Kaliostri, the megalomaniac rock star and illusionist whose belief in black magic is only outweighed by his belief in himself?

Jack begins to spiral into the unknown and his only certainty is that someone or something is determined to get him, and that they will stop at nothing to succeed.
